The Property
Situated within the Greater London borough of Bromley, KYN Bickley sits within a 30-minute drive from Charing Cross station, and is set within sweeping woodland-bordered landscaped gardens. The property offers 86 luxuriously appointed bedrooms in a sweeping neo-classical building.

Rich and varied surroundings is key in the provision of an enhanced quality of life. Kyn provides its residents with exactly that, offering extensive landscaped gardens, a spa & hair salon, a ‘reader’s corner,’ several bespoke-designed social spaces, and a cinema.
The Technology
The Cinema Room
Kyn Bickley’s cinema room, offers a welcome escape from it all experience; residents can sink into sumptuous, comfortable, armchairs and enjoy an eclectic mix of films and curated performances.
Airwave was delighted to assist in the provision of the cinema’s display tech, fronting the set-up with a 75-inch Samsung AU8000 Series commercial TV. Featuring 4k UHD resolution, Dynamic Crystal Colour and a sleek, ultra-slim design, Samsung’s AU8000 display offers a perfect balance of performance and design. To complement the top draw aesthetics, Airwave also implemented a Sonos playbar and subwoofer, providing cinema quality surround sound.
A Google Chromecast dongle was integrated within the display, allowing guests or a member of staff to cast content from a portable device to the TV – this offers a significant amount of flexibility, opening up the respective content libraries of a number of streaming and catch-up services, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer etc.
The Bedrooms
In the bedrooms, Airwave supplied and installed 43-inch Samsung AU8000 Series SMART TVs, each TV was wall mounted in accordance with the individual room’s size and design – 47 TVs were swivel mounted, offering residents a choice of viewing angles (useful for residents who enjoy watching TV both in bed, and the room’s seating area), and 39 TVs were flat-to-wall mounted, offering a low footprint installation.
The AU8000 Series display is SMART, connected to the property’s internet infrastructure, and consequently offers several embedded APPS, providing additional viewing options, such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX and All4. The TVs can also be implemented within a branded guest entertainment platform at a later date, should Kyn’s management team require.
The Communal & Staff Dining areas
5 x 55-inch Samsung AU8000 displays were wall-mounted in various positions throughout the communal dining area, and a 43-inch AU8000 was wall-mounted in the staff dining area.
The Great Room
The Great Room is Kyn Bickley’s principle social space, and the setting for numerous cultural events and group activities.
Airwave recommended and implemented, a variety of AV tech, to provide a modern (and intuitive) platform for presentations, staff training and group events.
This included:
- A ceiling mounted Ben-Q LK952 4k projector – offering ultra-accurate 4K HDR BlueCore laser projection for superb image clarity.
- A Sennheiser MKE400 shotgun microphone
- A Sonos One SMART speaker
- An Elite T100UWH tripod-mounted portable screen – with a max white 222 x 125cm viewing area and 180 degrees viewing angle.
